What is Cheese made with A2 Protein Milk and What are the Benefits?
Studies show that approximately 25% of the population have digestion issues related to dairy products that are not due to lactose intolerance but are instead related to the type of proteins they contain. A clinical study by Purdue University indicates that some people who suffer stomach discomfort after consuming conventional dairy products may have significantly reduced symptoms if they consume products that only contain the A2 beta casein protein.
Beta casein is a protein made up of a chain of 224 amino acids, and there are two main versions of beta casein: A1 and A2. the A1 version has only one amino acid that is different from the A2 version. As a result, the digestion of dairy products from A1 and A2 beta casein protein differs. besides gastrointestinal discomfort, A1 beta casein has also been shown to cause inflammation as well as type 1 diabetes. Many dairy products currently available to consumers on the market contain the A1 beta casein.
